Interstate Mechanical Corp has served Siouxland and the surrounding areas for over 100 years. We pride ourselves in providing quality craftmanship and innovative solutions for many types of work within the scope of mechanical contracting and metal fabrication. Through hard work, creative thinking, and great people, we have been able to expand our business over the past century.
Interstate Mechanical Corp was started by J.E. Johnson as a sheet metal contractor under the name Interstate Cornice Works. Some of the first major projects included a ventilation system for the State Capital Building in Lincoln, Nebraska and the Masonic Temple in Sioux City, IA
The name of the company was later changed to Interstate Air Conditioning Corporation.
Interstate Air Conditioning merged with James P. Olson Company, a mechanical contractor, to form Interstate Mechanical Corp.
IMC Building Services joined Interstate Mechanical Corp providing Commercial & Industrial Service, HVAC, Refrigeration, KMC Temperature Controls & Building Automation Systems.
Interstate Mechanical Corp acquired Metal Specialists to add heavy gauge and industrial metal fabrication.
The firm currently provide services in Design & Build, Plumbing & HVAC, Industrial Piping, Architectural Metal Work and Light & Heavy Gauge Metal Fabrication and is owned by James Olson and Wes Hunold.
